prelude to Black Mass

Black Mass by John Gray is a pretty difficult text to read, especially if your not used to reading or have read a lot of philosophy. I had to struggle through many of the ideas presented. To help you where it seems fit, I have included below a number of texts that you can read before attempting the book. Even if you never do eventually attempt the book, the reading material provided (exclusively through wikipedia) does give a lot of insight into the thinking of our ancestors.
